Drummer and band leader Richard Mayer has performed extensively for more than 30 years both as a freelance and with groups under his own leadership. In 2004 he played on the Carrefour Mondial L’accordeon Festival in Montmagny, Quebec with the Gypsy Wranglers. Recording credits include his quartet recording Vermont Songbook, The Blues Are Brewing with Espresso Jazz, and Labor of Love with Junior Daugherty. He has been providing concerts for Mass Housing's TAP Program since 2000. . Richard is a counselor at Landmark College in Putney, Vermont and also plays with the Landmark Jazz Band. He has written many reviews and features for jazz publications over the years. |
