Bruce Sklar, originally from Boston came to the Northern Kingdom, Vermont over 20 years ago and since then has played at the Discover Jazz Festival several times and numerous performances at the Flynn Center in Burlington, VT. He is a member of the Sklar/Grippo Band which plays every week in downtown Burlington. Most recently his band has produced an award winning CD. Bruce also teaches - High School Jazz Program, Middle School Jazz Program, Jazz Improvisation and Music Technology at the Harwood Union High School in South Burlington. One of the busiest pianists in Vermont, he takes the time to get over to the Catamount Arts Center concerts. |
